Costs

Obviously, the cost of studying with us will depend on the length of time you come for, the programme you choose to study, the standard of accommodation you ask for, and your lifestyle.  To give you an indication of cost, we give costs below based on a six month programme of study.  On receipt of your application, when we know your intentions, we will be able to supply a more accurate estimate of costs.

Living and accommodation:

We recommend that you budget for RM2000 for your accommodation for six months, if it is arranged through DLC.  You will be able to live comfortably off RM350 per month for food (eating out most of the time, the food is very good and very cheap here) and RM200 for personal expenses (depending on your lifestyle, of course!).

Course Fees:

Prior to Arrival

• Deposit:  RM1000.00
• Registration & Visa Processing Fee: RM900.00.  This, along with your deposit, covers our trips to Kuala Lumpur for the processing of your student pass.
• Course Fee: RM5,000.00 for six months. (This fee is indicative only – we will give you the exact fee when we know what you want to study, and how long for).
• International Student Safety Bond: approximately RM1500.00 (Under the regulation of Malaysian Immigration Department, international students must pay a safety bond of approximately RM1500.00.  The bond will be fully refunded upon completion of at least a 6 month programme and the cancellation of the student visa. (The bond as quoted by Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia is accurate at time of quoting for many countries though it depends on the country of the students’ origin and may also be subject to change.  Again, we will give you the accurate cost when you apply).

Upon Arrival

• Health Insurance: RM600.00 (optional, this applies only if you want your health insurance to be arranged through DLC, you can arrange your own insurance but we need to see the proof that you have some).
