English camps

At Dynamic Language Centre, we have two core beliefs.  The first is that Dynamic Language Centre is a family of language professionals and this family should be impacting and helping the greater community around them.  We also believe that language acquisition is important and should be enjoyed by people from all walks of life and of every age.  We at DLC love “Bringing Language to Life” for our students.  It was these two beliefs: service to the community and an enjoyable language learning experience that led to the development of English Camps (E-camps).

English Camps are interactive and fun English lessons done with large groups.  Usually this means elementary and secondary schools but we have done E-camps in local villages as well.  E-camps are designed to be different than an average day in the classroom.  The focus of an E-camp is students using English and gaining confidence in their English through the E-camp experience.

Participants in our E-camps have found themselves as Prime Minister of a new country, making new laws and regulations for the citizens and then giving a short presentation of these laws to their fellow students.  Other participants have achieved new levels of creativity as they composed and performed an original rap song, usually about their school.

These lessons are very different and challenging, but with the guidance of a DLC teacher, the students always are able to rise to the challenge.  Many times a session has ended and the students stayed behind to chat with the instructor.  They often leave the classroom singing or rapping part of the material taught in class.

E-camps provide schools with a way to get their students excited about English.  Students also use English throughout the sessions while being monitored by a DLC instructor.  The E-camps provide schools with an interactive way to prepare for upcoming exams.  Rather than trying to stay awake through a revision seminar, the students improve their English and enjoy their time in the class.  Contact DLC today for more information about E-Camps.
